How do secondary school kids nowadays afford branded goods???!!!!
Seriously, they can afford Chanel and Marc Jacobs!! I don't even own a piece of clothing that cost more than $200. and branded to me in sec school was.....Adidas? hahahaha.
1. How do they afford it? i rmb that my allowance was a measly $200. and all i could afford was the occasional Roxy and on rare occasions...Topshop. My first Topshop skirt cost $68 bucks and i could totally feel the pinch for 2 months. Even now, i would think twice about a $68 skirt.
2. Where did they get the idea of buy these branded goods???!!! No one in my school carried designer stuff. Even though we all wanted, but it was far too out of our league to actually entertain the thought of procuring a 200 dollar braclet.
Seriously...and kids nowadays can really dress la... -.-
Must be all the Gossip Girl, Laguna Beach and what not....In my time we only had The OC. And all Seth Cohen wore was some street wear brand that wasnt even that highbrow.
I still cant believe how 15 year olds are carrying designer handbags, splurging on branded good when I'm 20 and i dont even freaking own anything designer's. My wardrobe is full of hand-me-downs, Zara, Mango, Topshop and some random blogshop clothes.
My advice kids....you dont have to spend alot to look good. Expensive clothes and good taste dont necessarily go together. Look into your wardrobe, mix&match, customise it a little, borrow from your mom and some accessories really do the trick. |
